Bloodstone is also known as Heliotrope and is a variety of quartz which occurs in massive formations. The colour is green with flecks of red; in smaller pieces of the mineral, the red does not appear.
This mineral is an intense healing stone and a “stone of courage”. It can be used to awaken and to introduce uniformity within the vibrations of energy in the base, naval, sacral, and heart chakras.
